Samuel Axel – Adventurer, Guide and Storyteller
My name is Samuel Axel. I’m 27 years old, and adventure runs through my veins—both outwardly in the physical world and inwardly in exploring the depths of human potential.
At 17, I stumbled upon a book titled "My Adventures in the Polar Regions". It awakened a fire within me, a longing to uncover the unknown. Though I was hesitant at first, the idea of venturing beyond my comfort zone became irresistible. That book inspired my first big leap, and I’ve never looked back.
In April 2016, during my last year of high school, I chose a different path. While my classmates headed to sunny Mallorca, I traveled north to Svalbard with a close friend. We rented snowmobiles and set off into the Arctic wilderness—without emergency beacons or firearms. It wasn’t the safest decision, but the experience was transformative. Surrounded by the vast, untouched beauty of the Arctic, I felt connected to something far greater than myself.
A Life of Exploration
That first journey ignited a passion that has taken me across the world. I’ve ventured repeatedly into the Arctic, undertaken a winter road trip through Finnmark and Lofoten, and explored Iceland. I’ve also lived among Indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest and the Andes, sailed across the Atlantic, and immersed myself in the ancient spirituality of Varanasi, India, studying the transformative power of sound and music.
My travels have brought me to Israel, a land rich in culture, history, and spiritual depth, where I’ve explored both ancient traditions and modern dynamics. Each journey has shaped my perspective and reinforced my belief in the profound wisdom that lies in both nature and human connection.
My Vision
For me, expeditions are more than physical adventures—they are journeys of transformation. Nature holds secrets that resonate deeply with the human soul, and by immersing ourselves in its mysteries, we rediscover purpose, resilience, and a sense of awe.
My mission is to combine this spirit of exploration with storytelling and connection.
I aim to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern innovation, creating spaces where people can rediscover what truly matters. By collaborating with spiritual pioneers, adventurers, and forward-thinkers, I envision a world where exploration fuels personal and collective growth.
Competencies and Background
While I haven’t yet worked professionally in expeditions, I’ve planned and led several of my own. These adventures have given me a deep understanding of navigating diverse cultures and thriving in challenging environments, whether it’s trekking through rainforests, sailing open seas, or traversing deserts.
I also bring expertise in media and storytelling. With a background in content creation and digital branding from Hyper Island in Stockholm, I’ve built a personal platform through my podcast and blog. I’m skilled in photography, videography, editing, and storytelling—tools I use to inspire and share the transformative power of adventure.
What I Offer
Here’s how I envision contributing to the world of expeditions:
-
Expedition Apprentice: I’m eager to learn from experienced leaders in the field, gaining insights into teamwork, logistics, and leadership.
-
Media and Storytelling: I can document expeditions, creating impactful narratives that capture the essence of the journey. These stories can promote expeditions, engage audiences, and elevate digital presence.
-
Community Connection: I aim to create meaningful connections with like-minded individuals who share a passion for exploration, spirituality, and growth.
-
Why This Matters
In an age dominated by screens and fast-paced living, authentic experiences in nature are vital. Expeditions offer a way to reconnect—with the world, with each other, and with ourselves.
By combining my passion for adventure, my creative skills, and my desire to inspire others, I aim to bring the extraordinary to life. Let’s connect and create transformative journeys together.
